The Australian Department of Immigration has implemented several visas aimed at the business owner/senior manager, which allows those with a successful business career to gain entry to Australia to set up a business or invest in Australia. The majority of these visas are a 2 stage process to achieve permanent residency:
  1. Provisional Residency visa allows entry into Australia and is usually valid for 4 years. You can use this visa to set up your business in Australia.
  2. Permanent Residency visa allows the provisional visa holder to apply for permanent residency providing they meet the criteria.

The only Business visa that is a not a 2 stage process is the Business Talent Visa
