The visa is valid for 4 years, but it is renewable for currently 4 years at a time. If you are considering applying for an Investor Retirement visa, the principal applicant must be 55 years or older, have no dependants (other than a spouse), and be self-supporting in Australia. You will be required to hold private medical cover, which is equivalent to Australia's health system Medicare, for the duration of their visa.
