Employment Sponsored Visas allow an employer in Australia to employ a skilled person from overseas. There are 2 main types of Permanent Employment Sponsored visa: There is a third option, called a Labour Agreement where an Australian Industry Group can specify a specific number of overseas skilled workers they wish to hire on either a permanent or temporary basis over a number of years. This is rarely used in comparison to the other two. The maximum age of the visa application is 44, but there are concessions available for age waiver, but the employer would need to prove that someone under 44 either is unable to do this role or is not available.
